Boys Need MEN (To Represent and Support them) Initiative.

You are an essential part of our community! We rely on your support to provide much-needed services to the youth we work with. Our mentorship program allows you to work with Black and Brown male youth from various social and economic backgrounds.

Our Boys Need M.E.N.TO. R. S. Initiative allows individuals, specifically Black and Brown men, to provide mentorship, training, and other support to our Black and Brown male youth. 

MENTOR REQUIREMENTS:

To submit a mentor application, you must meet the following:

  • At least 25 years of age

  • Commit to the program for two years

  • Participate in a thorough background screening

  • Attend a pre-match and supplemental Mentor training throughout the year

  • Support and engage your mentee at least four quality hours a month (this includes 2-hour monthly workshop)

  • Commit to being a champion for your mentee throughout the full program year

  • Monitor mentee growth through academic and social indicators provided by B-BLAC
